Or so has reported the group of UK analysts Carbon Free.
But the potential is clear.
Fear of a 'bubble' is often mentioned. Microgeneration is becoming as hyped as the internet at the turn of the century.
But what will really drive wind turbines and solar panels to be installed all over Britain? Government assistance is tepid. At Ourpower, we think cost and education are key. Or maybe familiarity is a better term.
And its happenning now, with the major energy providers beginning to walk the talk - along with beginning to provide electricity export schemes that actually pay retail prices. If up front costs could be reduced a little more, the whole market could begin to hum...
Or maybe the oil price will get us there soon on its own...
